Michigan AvengerZ beat the Pittsburgh Outlaws 10-0 in Away Season Opener

Detroit, MI — April 12, 2025 — The Michigan AvengerZ kicked off their 2025 arena football season with a commanding 10-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Outlaws this past Saturday night away at the Sewickley Sports Arena in Sewickley Pennsylvania . Your AvengerZ showcased a dominant defense, securing a shutout in front of an electrified Pennsylvania crowd.

Quarterback Deion "DJ" Brown led the offense with heart, while wide receiver's Josh Butler, LeAndre Jones and Joshua Nelson made key plays to keep the chains moving. Running back Taz "The Tornado" Thomas added a a few rushing yards, and safety Omar Pagan, Linebacker Chris Frison Jr and Corner Markus Mims anchored a defense that stifled the Outlaws throughout the game.

“Starting the season with a shutout win sets the tone for our talented defense,” said Head Coach Jeff Pitock. “Our players executed the defensive game plan flawlessly, and the energy and dislike for the visiting team from the crowed was incredible, but only fueled us”
